MY FAVORITE PROJECTS

Beginner and Budget Friendly

Here are some of my favorite projects we've done.
Most don't require many tools and are great if you're just starting out with DIY.

I've tagged those that have step by step tutorials and material lists posted on my Hometalk account,
and many have video processes saved to my Instagram highlights.

BOARD & BATTEN

A great beginner friendly DIY, and a nice way to fill up a big blank wall.

SPONGE WALL

A cheap alternative to wallpaper. You can probably do this one with stuff you have in your house right now.

BENCH

This was my first furniture build and I'm so happy with how it came out. I learned so much from this one.

CLOSET 1

This was the first "big build" I did all by myself. Definitely a confidence booster, and I promise it wasn’t very hard!

CLOSET 2

Once Ky saw my closet, he wanted to do his too. It's amazing how much well you can utilize a space when you design it specifically for your needs.

BACKSPLASH

The herringbone gave us a run for our money on this one, but the tiling itself wasn't too bad!

COAT CLOSET

Easily our most functional DIY. Hooks over hangers, always.

FIRE PLACE

One of my favorite DIYs to date. This was one of the first things we did when we moved in so we were truly beginners on this one.

STAIRWAY

We stared at a blank wall above our stairs for about a year before we came up with this. I smile whenever I walk past it now.
